“At the moment we’re finishing our new NEGATIVE-album which will be out in spring 2010. Album has been named and it will go by the name NEON. First sample from Neon can be heard from a single which will be released in January 2010, a music video will also be made for the song.

The record has been recorded at the legendary Broken Wave -studio in Los Angeles, where artists like Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr, and Korn have worked during the last years.

Right now I’m supposed to sing one more song for the record. As a matter of fact we dismissed that song by democracy when the recordings started, but lately our producer digged the bases for the song back in the daylight and we realized that the song suits the record as a whole. At the moment I can’t talk about the song by it’s name, ’cause I don’t know what it’ll be called on the record either.

At this point of recording the so called biggest brainstorm has passed, ’cause we no longer have to think about how each of us should play on the record. While mixing we just choose what will be left on the record from all the already played instruments, and find the right tones, direction and the final “frame” for the record. The final touch will be given in the last phase before the compiling of the album: The mastering. Shortly put: If you’ve ever thought about why all songs play on the same volume in the radio, the answer is partly mastering.

But we won’t go ahead of things anymore.

First song ideas, melodies and phrases that would finally form this record were made a year and a half ago. With them are few even older songs, but naturally they got their final form in our hands while we trained them for a month and in the studio under the eye of our producer Jimmy Westerlund. The songs have been written with a lot of time and effort.

So the recordings started in September 2009 and continued through fall and by the end of the year I’d say the work is mostly done… For a while. When the record is ready we’ll start working the exterior of the album, the covers, with our graphic designer. Right now I can only say about the covers, that they’ll have some visually eye-stimulating atmosphere.

Musically the record will be melody-rich and whole couplet pearl necklace. Time flies, and with the clock closing two in the afternoon i’ts time to make morning tea and head to the studio to record a children’s choir.

2010-Year of NEGATIVE

I know it`s been a long time since i`ve been dropping down something here. And as a matter of a fact, because of that I was thinking to myself:

Should I feel guilty about that? The answer is: No, my friends! ‘Cause in silence right after “Karma Killer” Tour we started to come up with the vision for the music, lyric and the whole frames for the new NEGATIVE-album which will be within your reach 2010.

All that has kept me really busy.

As i`m writing this, we`re still in a middle of a recordings but already at this point i can tell you that the new songs are gonna be something fresh, intense, deeper, wilder and more beautiful than anything we`ve done in the past. I could talk about our new stuff endlessly, but instead I’ll let the music speak for itself. Recordings take place at Broken Wave Studios, Los Angeles CA. lead by Jimmy Westerlund & Warren Riker.

This session has definitely been the best time in a studio ever, and not only because of New exciting songs or circumstances, but also because of the new people that are working with the band for the album. After 4 studio albums at the age of 26 I can say that I`ve learned so much from these people.I have a good feeling.

With a little delay as a band we wanna thank you all who showed up on Karma Killer-tour. Afterwards like this when you get some distance for what We`ve done it is just a pleasure to think how wide and successful our tour itself was. There we`re a lot of new people and new countries for us, like Mexico, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and France.

The tour with a new album will come for sure and if it`s up to us we’re gonna play in every country we`ve played before and beside of that there will be a lot of new exciting places to go.

Can`t say yet when your are able to hear some new tracks, but when the time is right we let you know.

By the way just love to see how active our myspace and web site are nowadays and I personally wanna tell all our Fan page admins and visitors all over the world that keep doing what you`re doing, you`re the roots of NGT. As long as you keep on spreading a word of NEGATIVE, Rock`n Roll is alive and well!

El recopilatorio veraniego de Negative, estará a la venta el próximo 17 de junio, y contará además de sus exitos con una selección de rarezas: caras B y rarezas acusticas de la banda a lo largo de su carrera. El titulo del recopilatorio ha sido elegido por ser la primera canción escrita por Jonne Aaron para Negative, y además el mismo contará con anotaciones del propio Jonne para cada canción.

En este momento Negative se encuentra inmerso en la creacción del nuevo album
